BOARD MEETING

 

MINUTES FOX LANE

15th October 2011

 

                                  

Apologies:  Paul Atherden, Kath Jackson, June Booth, Harry Crompton.

 

In attendance:

            D Kay, Kev Penny, Steve Thompson, Ken Howarth, Bill Booth, Pat Hull,

Peter Hodgkinson, Phil Brown, Brian Holgate, Jim Cunningham (guest).

 

Matters Arising:                     

            Bill Booth presented the draft balance sheet and after discussion it was agreed that the current accounting year be extended to 31st Oct. This would incorporate the payment of this years prize money and any outstanding payments to creditors leaving an opening balance as at 1st November with no liabilities etc. It was also agreed to have our financial year in future from 1st Nov to 31st Oct. Prize money for this current year was confirmed as outlined in attached sheet which was decided at last years Board Meeting and presented verbally at the AGM 2012. Fees to be set at the same level with Prize money adjusted to £180.00 National League Winners - £100.00 National League Runners up. Over sixties League Fox Lane Friday Winners £150.00 - Runners up £100.00. All other events as this year to be funded by entry fees and sponsorship.

 

League Structure / Dates and Events:

            National League April 29th May 27th June 24th July 29th Aug 26th

Events Federation v Civil Service Alan Eddies choice July 6th or 29th June

Federation Ladies v Civil Service Ladies date and venue to be confirmed

Junior/Youth Merit Roe Lea Park 5th August

Over Sixties Merit Owley Wood 10th August

Over Sixties Supreme Championship Halifax B C 2nd September

Individual Merit 16th September Venue to be offered out

Team K O Rochdale area New Format 9th September

Champion of Champions Tod Park 23rd September

Ladies Merit Pat Hull to advise date and venue

 

It was reported that Bolton and Rossendale were withdrawing from the League due

to lack of support from their players and lack of finance. New affiliates still

in process of deciding to apply will know by end of Oct.

 

Phil Brown presented a draft showing the National League Pooled rather than 6

Divisions. Final format to be presented to A G M when teams competing are

Confirmed.

 

Re National League matches the Board confirmed that under no circumstances no

rearrangements can be made after the 31st March.

 

Event Rules:

            Insert in National League rules any team playing an ineligible player over and above the two home players nominated the game will be awarded 21-0 to the opposing team.

 

Transfer from General Rules to National League Rules Sections A B D and

Sections C D to Bye Laws.

 

Bye Laws 6 A delete Sep 15th and replace with and presented to the Board Meeting

in October.

 

Insurance Contact Ron Holt to see whether a refund could be obtained in the case

of Sth Derbyshire who have paid direct. Any other affiliates to notify us if the

same applies.
